Two Weeks of Astrophysics Immersion!
Engage in expert lectures, hands-on data analysis, proposal writing, and many more! Enhance your research skills and explore real astronomical datasets.
The workshop schedule includes weekday tutorials and interactive sessions on data access, processing, analysis tools, and modeling techniques. Lectures will explore the scientific applications of JWST-UVIT data, covering topics like star formation, high-redshift galaxies, exoplanets, transient events, and statistical approaches. Participants will also have opportunities to collaborate with experts throughout the sessions.
This workshop focuses on building collaborations among astronomers especially from Asian countries working with JWST-UVIT data. It is open to faculty/researchers, postdoctoral fellows, PhD scholars, and master's students, from Asia and nearby regions with a background in astronomy. Applicants should be proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
To ensure a strong mentor-to-participant interaction, the workshop will maintain a 3 to 4 participant-per-lecturer ratio, with a total of 35-40 attendees. Selection will be based on academic and scientific merit, as well as the workshop’s potential to support participants in advancing their research careers.
